Own class Critical Reflection

Madam Helena show the whole 2 video before the class end.Personally,the video quite interesting,the first video show one teenage girl just sign in into a college and she received a free I-Phone.In the video show that the student no need to bring note book and write the note inside because everything the lecturer note or the student want to say something they can just e-mail they lecturer in the class.It show that they life are fully covered with technology (Somehow,i quite envy with them)

The second video is show some word that written in the web,such as what people think about facebook and Myspace.Its a funny video but in the same time,its true.It happen to all people that is currently using the social link.

The first question
-What kind of culture influences through technology can you see from today’s world?

The most can seen the culture influences is the way of people these day talk.Most of the society chatting in the internet and while chatting they will use short form word and the society will along the way of chatting into the reality such as lol mean laugh out laugh,brb means be right back and so on.
Actually,this already becoming too common to the society and its scare later on the future,all the society will talk like that and the way we communicate these days will gone.

The second question
-Is there a possibility to reshape the (new) culture today via new technology, How?

Yes,there is possibility to change how is our culture nowadays by using technology.Especially young youth who is using technology,they more can obtain what is trying to send to the society.Put on some fun and interesting media in the technology so it may attract the society.
But in the same,the technology can change the culture into a good culture or worst culture.

The Power Of Nightmare

Points of View

My own point of view of the power of nightmare is where the higher power in the society or country control media and the same time they control the normal rank or lower rank of society.
This can be prove by these days,United States mostly control the media these days.
Most of the media user believe on it.

My Critical Reflection

As the last class,our lecturer,Helena Song show us one interesting documentary about the power of nightmare.It show that the truth of what is happen to United States and the truth of Al-Qaeda sort of called the 'terrorist'.
But the truth is,there is no such thing as Osama bin Laden and Al-Qaeda.The former president of United States by that time (Bush) created its own event and disaster and blame it to person that is not even exist in this world.
From some information i researched by my own,i had found out that the person who is Osama bin Laden is trained by Bush and pay a lot of money to act he is the terrorist that is afraid and wanted by the United States.
But because the higher rank in the United States control the media,they can influenced the citizen to believe that all the disaster happening is real.

Class Critical Reflection

There is a lot of people didnt come to class,perhap because of the assesment of Design Fundamental subject.So,because a lot of people didnt came,the class become more colder than usual temperature.I was freezing untill my leg cramped.But it doesnt only happen to me,some of friend also shivering untill they ming become totally blank in the class.
Hopefully,it wont happen again >.<

McLuhan Theory

These day, a lot of media we can find and something we encounter with the media without we realize its all around us.
As we keep using media as our daily life routine we may not realize that the all media have it own media effect to us.

CRICITAL REFLECTION

-These days,chatting through using yahoo messenger,live messenger,skype and so on is like a normal stuff especially to anyone that is familiar using internet.By the effect of using that kind of media frequently,we can send a lot of information and gain a lot of information just staring infront of the screen and only the finger moving typing the words.Sometime even people use it for making bussiness and gain some money eventhought just
staying at your own house.


Second Critical Reflection

-Past days,people treat media as entertainment and also a educational place.People can gain information and learn something about it.But because of the media,media mostly put entertainment more than the information and the education because it would bored the audiece or the reader.The audience,the reader od the user of the media only use the media for entertainment and because of this,they lack of information what is currently happening to our surrounding or even to our world.
-As according to Mcluhan theory,he said all the media had its own message.The message that is inside the conetnt of the media may effect us without our notice.I think that is what Mcluhan trying to said by using his theory

Class reflection critical~~

Last week i done my MLC 800 words essay because i thought the deadline is by the first week of april but actually the deadline is next week >.< But i take this as advantage,i can focus on other assignment.
Mr.Radzi Bedu gave us lecture on McLuhan theory,its a complicated theory,well,for me.
The theory by Mcluhan quite interesting eventhough some part i didnt focus enough listening to the lecture (maybe because i skip breakfast on that morning)

So,for this week,i dont have a lot work to do for MLC subject since i already finish the 800 words essay but i still have the blog assignment to do....

Obscenity,Pornography and Indecency

What is the different of obscenity,pornography and indecency?

Firstly,

The meaning of obscenity word is foul,repulsive,detestable.The word that offent the prevelant sexual morality.The word itself also can bring as taboo,indecent,abhorrent or even disgusting.The word only to bring censorship especially something brand or material but its doesnt count porn.

Secondly,

The meaning of pornography word is the depiction of erotic behaviour intended to cause sexual excitement.The second meaning is some material such as book,magazine,video,etc that despicts erotic behaviour and intended to cause sexual excitement.The third defnition is the depiction of acts in sensational manner so as to arouse a quick intense emotional reaction.

Thirdly,

The meaning of indecency is the state or a quality of being indecent,lack of modesty,taste or a propriety.


My own opinion.....

Eventhough obscenity,pornography and indecency is such three different word but all the word bring the almost same meaning.

Media literacy

What is media literacy?

-media literacy is a process of accesing,analyzing,evaluating and creating messages in a wide variety in any mode,form and genre. (taken from wikipedia)

Why is media literacy is important for a FCM student?

-For my own point of view,media literacy is quite important for all FCM student because we as the FCM student need to go through a lot of media form such as internet,article,magazine,newspaper and so on.
-We need media literacy to find any research to do our assignment or even seeking for inspiration to our artwork.
-Not only we as the FCM student need media literacy but i think the other student in other faculty also need the important of media literacy.

Does the everything true or false?

DOES EVERYTHING WE READ OR HEAR IN THE INTERNET TRUE OF FALSE?








-Does everything we read in the internet or heard about it really the truth?Or even we some of us really believe into it!


-For me,I doesnt fully believe what had written in the internet because some of it the writer just random person and write anything they feel it was the right thing.Especially the one offer or advertisement where people can get money easily with just invest some amount of money.That is totally a fake advertisement!


-Mostly the internet 85% fake and the rest is the truth.So,we can only take content of the internet as an entertainment and dont take it as a serious matter.





-Take example as one comic strip entitled"rumors,lies and innuendo spread far,wide and fast on the internet" by Stanley Baran
the comic strip about two people read one article in the internet and they believe 100% into it and the person who write the article is just a little boy.


SO,IT CAN BE ANYONE WHO CAN WRITE IN THE INTERNET AND WE SHOULDNT BELIEVE 100% TO WHAT WRITE INSIDE THE INTERNET.
